daily Photos #35 (3/29/10)

Lazy dog.

Alright, Alright!  I'll try to stop using Wally as my daily photo.  It's just so easy.

And so dang cute!

Daily Photos #34 (3/28/10)

Ok ok! I admit it.  I failed.

I had a goal to take a photo every day.

And.  Well.  I missed Saturday.

And really, there was no excuse.  I was even visiting family!  I was with my grandparents, Dad, and Terry.  Those people are used to getting their photo taken.  I bet I would have hardly been given a fight.
And I didn't even take out the camera.

I am so ashamed.
Sigh.

But, I sure did have a great time!  It was so nice to hang out, eat, eat, watch a dumb movie, and eat.  I love them.

Oh and then we went shopping.  And....

TA-DA!
Aren't they beautiful?  So, I took this photo on Sunday.  But we bought them on Saturday.

As a birthday gift from Dad & Terry plus a little help from Grandma & Grandpa, (and a tiny dip into our tax refund money), I got these SUPER CUTE BOOTS!

That's right.  Drool.

Daily Photos #33 (3/26/10)

Friday I photographed Stan (err Matt) for his senior portraits.

Most my final versions are on my home computer yet (I took a LOT) but thought I'd throw on a couple photos to show you some of the fun quick edits.  (They are still a work in progress)

Huntly could hardly believe they had a model in their town!

Daily Photos #32 (3/25/10)

Thursday, I went to Okoboji, IA to visit the fashionable Bungalow 29 clothing store.

You'll have to check it out when it opens for the season again.  I got a sneak peak. ;)

Wish I could show all of the photos of super-cute owner, Amy.  But you'll just have to wait to see them in the magazine.

Daily Photos #31 (3/24/10)

Today I met a fascinating woman.

Jennifer Silvera's husband was killed in the line of duty at age 32.  Her children were 1 and 5 months old (or somewhere close to there).

She has a book that I haven't been able to put down.  Believe.

Pretty sure this copy has a few tear stains on it now.

Daily Photos #30 (3/23/10)

The weather was too nice to not take advantage of it yesterday.

So Wally and I went on a walk around Granada.

He loved exploring new parts of Granada.  With my camera in hand, I loved it too.

The neighborhood kids were out having a grand ol' time.

So we decided to model after the children and go play at the park.

And I probably looked pretty weird to all those passer-byers, jumping up to get a shot of this window trim on the old corner brick building.

Daily Photos #25 (3/18/10)

!!!!!!!!!

See my death grip on the bag?

Yes.  It's that exciting.

My bag arrived!  And Yes.  It's daily-photo worthy.

It's not just a purse.  It's a camera bag!

And I'm in love with it.

Daily Photographs #23, 24, 25

Ok.  Pretty lame for a daily photo (for Monday), I know.  But I just had to show you these slippers.  Mom made them for me for my birthday!  They are so warm and comfortable.  I just love them.  Ma dyed the wool, spun it, and knitted it into these fantastic foot cozies!

That's right.  Be jealous.

Tuesday, Kim made yummy delciousness and I photographed it for CIA.

Doesn't that just look yummy in your tummy?

And today, I photographed Katie and Dexter.

You'll have to get Womeninc to know what they posed for, 'cause I ain't talkin'.

Daily Photographs #22

What a life.

It must be so rough.

Daily Photographs #20, 21

Coming up with a new photo every day is hard!

I was given this beautiful serving bowl as a gift.  Since I rarely serve enough food to ever have a need for it, but want to display its beauty for all to see, I've decided to use it as a fruit bowl.  It's just too pretty to leave in the cupboard.

And the looks of it on the table reminded me of the still life paintings we did in high school.

So I figured, "Good enough reason as any to photograph it."

But a much more fun opportunity for photos presented itself on Saturday.  And I nearly forgot to pick up my camera!

Ma, Tom, Grey and the kids came down to visit!

We had Mark and Kay over to join everyone for lunch (and WOO! My chicken pot pie turned out!).  Tom and Tyler went to a gun show.  And we all just a had a grand ol' time.

And then, as everyone was getting ready to leave, I remembered my camera.

Every shot I got was blurry.  Guess I wasn't really taking it seriously enough.

That, and those kids just are too fast for me.

I apologize for my lapse of skills Saturday.

Yeah guys, I agree.  :-P

Daily Photographs #19

I struggled to find the gumption to pick up my camera yesterday.  I was not feeling those creative juices at all.

So, I watched my new favorite show.

Yes.  That's right.  I'm a gleek.  And if it's up to me, soon you will be too.

Daily Photographs #18

Tuesday's schedule took me to Minneapolis to meet a woman appearing in one of the magazines.  (ha!  Not going to tell you which one).

Neato, eh?

Daily Photographs #17

Tuesday was an eventful day.

First, I photographed a horse.

Ok, so the real objective there was a rodeo gal and her horse.  But, for blogging purposes, I'm just showing you the horse.

Then it was off to the fun house.

Can't you just feel the excitement?

Daily photographs #16

It's been a pretty foggy week.

Here's a photo from Monday.

There's something about old barns, corn cribs, and the such.  I just love how they look in photographs.

Daily photographs #15

Anna sent me an extremely thoughtful card for my birthday.

It doesn't look too special, does it?  In fact, it reminds me of roommate bickering (not that we ever did)...

I didn't get it either.  That is, until I opened it up.

It started singing "Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer!

For those of you who don't know, Anna and I learned this song our sophmore year.  All of it.  And we danced to it.  And it may be on tape.

And no.  You're never going to see it.

Daily photographs #14

Saturday reminded me of days back in the studio.  I was able to take photos of Mandy, Katie's sister-in-law, and her daughter for Caregiving in America.  Okay, Okay, I know.  I said my daily photos would be "non-work related."  However, THAT'S HARD!  It's hard enough to come up with a photo to take, so why not take advantage of some fun work-ops. :)

Take a look:

(a tad blown out, eh? Okay, more than a tad. Oh well, I still love those eyes and that expression)

See, there's those eyes again.

And no, don't expect to see these exact photos in the magazine.  I save those for the magazine.  So there.

Daily photographs #10

Wednesday night is youth group night!

We played spoons.

It's a fun game.

And no.

It's not a drinking game.

Daily Photographs #8, 9

Monday, Wally and I took our daily walk to go get the mail.

He loves it.  And on these nice days, I do too.

Tuesday I bought a beautiful orchid to sit on my desk and tempt me to daydream about spring days.  I used it for photos for Womeninc, but also took a photo of it strictly for here.

Dream of spring with me!

Daily Photographs # 4, 5, 6 & 7

Wow, what a busy weekend it was!  While not all of my daily photographs were... um.. superb, they were done!  I carried my camera with me every where I went.

My drive home from work on Thursday was a beautiful one.  It was my typical route, going through Imogene.
But that day, one of the places I usually just zoom by caught my eye.  I think it was the way the sun was shining directly on it, and how the moon was shining brightly behind.

I took it easy on Friday.  I made banana bread, I walked Wally, I cleaned, and I caught up on my morning-talk shows.

During my cleaning, I couldn't help but notice my very wilted, very dried dozen roses that my sweet man gave me for Valentine's Day.  They were so gorgeous when they were fresh.  But you know, but something about dead roses still gets me.  They're still so beautiful.

(And they're still sitting on my table.  I just can't toss them yet.)

Saturday morning, hubby and I made our way up north to visit my folks.  We had a meeting we had to go to, so we just made a weekend of it.

It was so nice to just gather around and enjoy the company.  It was a gorgeous day and it was just so much fun.

Even Wally had fun!
I really think he liked it there.  Would you look at his smile?

Isn't he handsome?

Isaac was a fast mover.  It's hard to get photos of him.  Notice the scratch under his nose?  I was informed by Ellie that that spot on a face should be called an "under-nose."

"How'd you cut your under-nose?"
"hahaahaha!"
"No really, how did you cut your under-nose?"
"Hahahahaha!"
"But you have a cut on your under-nose!"
"BAH-HAHAHA!"

I never did find out how he cut his under-nose.

On the 3 hour drive home Sunday, my sweet man decided to practice his coyote calls.
He bought this call that goes inside, on the roof of your mouth.  With some yelping and howling, it creates a really cool call.

A really loud call.

Wally buried his head under the seat and I just laughed.  And took some Excedrin.

It was a fantastic weekend.
