This Thanksgiving, we went to my Aunt and Uncle Burney's house. It's been so long since we were all together for Christmas!
As we went around the table and shared what we were thankful for, it was obvious we were all thinking about Grandpa and missing him there.
After eating lots of great food, we retreated to the living room to play some family-friendly games!
First on the list, Telephone Pictionary!
It was hilarious to see how my family interpreted each other's terrible drawings! Sentences such as "I'm a man, I can change, if I have to, I guess" (by Tyler), twisted and turned into "All the kids slid down the basement steps." Or "No coffee means no work, and too much coffee means I can't sit still" turned into "Pulling the plug on a loved one is never easy."
I'll have to scan in some of the drawings!
Later, we played Pictionary. No teams, just fun. If you guessed it, it was your turn to draw.
Greyson's awful, awful drawings brought about many, many laughs.
Here he is with his "contact lens" drawing. That whistling face... he added the music notes after wards. It was a total accident that it looked like a face whistling. Somehow all of that added up to "contact lens"...
And here's his snow mobile. I don't know about you, but to us it looked more like a snow-potato!
It was such an original interpretation of a snow-mobile, he had to sign it!
It was fun to see all the kids together. It reminded me of Greyson, the Burney's and I all playing together on Thanksgiving.
This younger set of Burney/Nelsons are going to have such happy memories. I sure do!
Ellie and Leah always have a blast together.
And I could barely get a photo of Little Man. He was always on the run!
Oh, was Ellie ever excited! She got to hold the newest member of the family:
Lyla Burney!
It was such a happy night.
